Miguel Ángel de Amo Fernández-Echevarría (born September 16, 1985 in Madrid ) is a Spanish volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career indoor volleyball

De Amo began his indoor career at PTV Málaga and became Spanish youth champion. With CD Numancia , the player was twice the Spanish runner-up and also twice reached the national cup final. In 2010 he moved from FC Barcelona to Cajasol Sevilla . In the same year he played with the national team in the Europa League . De Amo was also active at Nea Salamina Famagusta in Cyprus and at CAI Teruel . He later played with CV Andorra , in Slovakia with Chemes Humenné and currently in Poland with AZS Częstochowa .

Career beach volleyball

De Amo finished fifth at the 2002 Youth World Cup in Xylokastro with Javier Alcaraz . At the Junior World Championships in 2003 in Saint-Quay-Portrieux he reached ninth place with German Lopez . The following year he won the U21 World Cup with Inocencio Lario Carrillo . In 2005 he played his first FIVB World Tour tournament with Lario at the Zagreb Open . In the same year he finished 19th with Adrián Gavira Collado at the Junior World Championships in Rio de Janeiro . In 2008 he took part in the Mallorca Open for the first time with José Manuel Ariza Molina . In 2009 de Amo / Ariza played three more open tournaments. In 2013, de Amo initially formed a duo with Lario again and played his first Grand Slam in Shanghai . Since mid-2013, de Amo has competed at national tournaments alongside Ignacio Batallán .
