Miguel Reina Santos (born January 21, 1946 in Córdoba ) is a former Spanish football player .
During his career he played for Córdoba CF , FC Barcelona , Atlético Madrid and the Spanish national soccer team , with which he also took part in the 1966 World Cup in England . He played in the position of goalkeeper and was inherited in this tradition by his son Pepe Reina .
In 1974 Reina reached the final of the European Cup with Atlético Madrid. They met FC Bayern Munich in the final at the Heysel Stadium in Brussels . After 90 minutes the game was even with the score 0-0. In the 114th minute Luis Aragonés scored a goal for Atlético, but Georg Schwarzenbeck equalized the game with a long shot, so that it came to a playoff, which Atlético lost 4-0.
