Mihails Ziziļevs (born December 27, 1973 in Daugavpils ) is a Latvian football player who plays for FC Daugava Daugavpils .

Career

society

Mihails Ziziļevs began his career shortly after independence from the Soviet Union in his Latvian hometown of Daugavpils . Initially under contract with DJSSh Daugavpils , he later played for three other clubs from the city in the southeast of the country; Auseklis and Vilan , and from 1996 to 1999 at FC Dinaburg . At the turn of the millennium Ziziļevs played in Russia with Rubin Kazan . From 2001 to 2002 he was again under contract in Latvia. In 2003 the midfielder returned to Russia to play for FK Metallurg Lipetsk and Lutsch-Energija Vladivostok in the 1st division . Again after two seasons there was a return to Latvia. Playing for FC Dinaburg in the 2005 season , the most successful period as a professional followed in 2007 . With FK Ventspils , Ziziļevs was able to become Latvian champions and cup winners for the first time . He has been under contract with FC Daugava Daugavpils since 2010 , where he won his third championship title with the team in the 2012 season .

National team

Mihails Ziziļevs made his debut in the 1997 Baltic Cup in the Latvian national team against Lithuania . Another international match that should also be the last in his playing career was completed by Ziziļevs in November 2001 under Aleksandrs Starkovs against Russia .
