Mika Ääritalo (born July 25, 1985 in Turku ) is a Finnish football player . The national player has played for clubs in Finland , England and Germany in his active career . He is currently under contract with Turku PS .

Career

Mika Ääritalo began his career at Turku PS , for which he was initially active in his youth. In 2002, at the age of 17, he played his first professional season in the Veikkausliiga . Even before his debut season in 2002 was over, the talent signed a three-year contract with Aston Villa . Previously, other European clubs were interested in the striker, including Manchester United , Arsenal FC and Feyenoord Rotterdam . For the club from Birmingham , he played for two years in the youth academy and was not used in the Premier League team. After returning to Turku, he won the Finnish Cup (2010) and the League Cup (2012) with the team . On January 10, 2014, Holstein Kiel announced that it would sign Mika Ääritalo on loan with an option to buy. The purchase option was not drawn, however, so Ääritalo returned to Turku. In January 2015 he moved to FC Lathi , a year later he joined Kuopion PS . 2017 returned to the meanwhile second-rate Turku PS and rose with the club at the end of the season back to the Finnish first division.

National team

In May 2010, Ääritalo made his debut for the Finnish national team in the international match against Estonia under national coach Stuart Baxter . He scored the first goal in the jersey of the eagle owls on his fifth appearance at the beginning of 2012 in Port of Spain against Trinidad and Tobago . In the same year he took part in the Baltic Cup in Estonia with his country . There he played against the hosts after he was substituted on for Njazi Kuqi .
