Mike-Steven Behre (born August 10, 1995 in Garbsen ) is a German football player .

Career

Behre started his career in his hometown at TuS Garbsen. In 2009 he moved to Hannover 96 . In March 2014 he played for the regional league team for the first time. In summer 2015 he got a professional contract. He made his Bundesliga debut on matchday 16 in 2015/16 against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim , when he came on for Allan Saint-Maximin in the closing stages . In January 2016 he was loaned to the third division Hallescher FC until the end of the season. For the 2016/17 season , Behre returned to Hannover 96, which had meanwhile been relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga . Without further commitment in the first team, the promoted player loaned him to third division club SV Meppen in January 2018 .

On August 31, 2018, Behre extended his contract term with Hannover 96 to June 30, 2020 and initially moved to the English third division club FC Barnsley until the end of the 2018/19 season . He came on 35 missions in which he scored one goal and rose with the club in the EFL Championship . For the 2019/20 season , Barnsley FC finally acquired the transfer rights to Behre.
