Mike Bavis (born March 13, 1970 in Roslindale , Massachusetts ) is a former American ice hockey player and current coach , who played for the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League from 1989 to 1995 . His twin brother, Mark, was also a professional ice hockey player.

Career

Mike Bavis began his career as a hockey player in the team at Boston University , for which he was active from 1989 to 1993 and won the championship of Hockey East in the 1990/91 season . Previously, he had already been selected as a high school player in the NHL Entry Draft 1989 in the twelfth round as a total of 245 players by the Buffalo Sabers , for which he never played. Instead, the winger made his professional ice hockey debut for the Rochester Americans from the American Hockey League in the 1993/94 season . In the following season he ran parallel for Rochester in the AHL, as well as their cooperation partner, the South Carolina Stingrays in the East Coast Hockey League .

Mike Bavis, who ended his active career at the age of 25, was an assistant coach for Boston University in Hockey East from 1998 to 2007, where he started his career.
