Mike Kroeger
Michael Douglas Henry "Mike" Kroeger (born June 25, 1972 in Hanna , Alberta ) is a founding member of the Canadian rock band Nickelback , in which he is still active as a bassist. Before that he was already active with some of today's members of Nickelbacks in the band The Village Idiots .
Working with Nickelback
Mike Kroeger has been a member of the rock band Nickelback since it was founded in 1996 . When the band was founded, Mike Kroeger was working at Starbucks and given their prices back 5 cents change to most customers. He always said, "Here's your nickel back." When his younger half-brother Chad Kroeger heard this, he suggested the name "Nickelback" for the band.
Mike has already co-written a few songs, but the band's main songwriters are Chad Kroeger and guitarist Ryan Peake . He plays the bass, but has also often taken over the guitar.
Life
Kroeger is married to Angela Papp. They have two children together, Dawson (born 2001) and Avalon (born 2003), whose names and years of birth he had tattooed on his forearms.
