Ryan Peake (born Ryan Anthony Peake on March 1, 1973 in Brooks , Alberta , Canada ) is the songwriter and guitarist of the Canadian rock band Nickelback .

In collaboration with Chad Kroeger , Ryan Peake writes some of the band's most popular songs and sings backing vocals, often with Daniel Adair , Nickelbacks' drummer.

Peake also occasionally sings some cover versions of songs by the band. On tours, Ryan also sings cover versions when bridging time; the Kings of Leon cover "Use Somebody" is popular not least on the "Dark Horse Tour 2009 ".

Peake mostly uses Gibson guitars like the models in the Les Pauls series " Gibson Les Paul Explorer" and the Metal V series "Gibson Flying Vs". For the song "Figured You Out" he always uses the "Flying V" model modified by Dillion Guitars . In the early stages of his guitarist career, he always used Fender Telecasters . Ryan Peake always uses his father's old guitar, especially for the hit "Photograph". Chad uses them in the Photograph music video (opening scene).

Guitar technician Tim "Timmy" Dawson, who plays the third guitar, is available for many songs at concerts. He then takes over the parts from Chad, who then only plays the rhythm guitar.
