Jesenicko microregion

The Jesenicko microregion consists of the municipalities Bělá pod Pradědem , Česká Ves , Jeseník , Lipová-lázně , Ostružná . The area is 22,430.4 hectares, which is 31.2% of the area of okres Jeseník .

Geographically, this microregion has been located in the Olomouc district since January 1, 2000 in the southern part, it borders directly on the district town of Jeseník . It stretches southwest to the Červenohorský sedlo (1,011 m above sea level), over part of the Hrubý Jeseník to the Malý Děd (1,355 m above sea level). To the south it borders on the foothills of the Reichenstein Mountains and Zlatohorská vrchovina , to the north up to Na Pomezí (576 m), which separates the Rychlebské hory and which from then on are called Hornolipovská hornatina and Sokolský hřbet .

This microregion is in a cold area. The repeated abundant rain gives the region high water levels, large amounts of snow and long winters. These feed the rivers Černý potok , Bělá , Staříč , Ramzovský potok and Hornolipovský potok. The whole area is part of the Jeseníky Protected Area. The forest cover 70.2% of the area of ​​Jesenicko.
