Zlatohorsko microregion

The Czech microregion Zlatohorsko consists of six municipalities: Zlaté Hory , Hradec-Nová Ves , Mikulovice , Písečná, Supíkovice and Velké Kunětice and covers an area of ​​15,122 hectares, which corresponds to 21% of the area of ​​the Okres Jeseník .

Geographically, the Zlatohorsko microregion is located in the Olomouc district , northeast of the city of Jeseník . It borders on okres Bruntál to the southeast . The rest of the border is in the Jeseník des okres region . Historically, the area belongs to Silesia . In the area there is the Hrubý Jeseník promontory , which is called Zlatohorská vrchovina here and Medvědská hornatina to the south . On the border of these two mountains there is a scientifically interesting moor area na Rejvízu.

The microregion is in a cool area. The rivers Černá Opava , Olešnice , Bělá , Zlatý potok , Skřivánkovský potok, Černý potok and Vrchovištní potok feed here abundant rainfalls, long winters with lots of snow . Almost the entire area is under nature protection. The forest area occupies 56% of the area.
