Nechranicko microregion

The Nechranicko microregion ( Czech Republic ) is a voluntary association of municipalities in the Chomutov and Louny districts with their headquarters in Březno , which was established in December 2000. Its aim is to promote regional development. It was named after the reservoir Nechranice (reservoir Negranitz).

The following 7 municipalities are currently involved:

The region is located at an average altitude of 200 m in the southern part of the Chomutov district and in the northern part of the Louny district . It extends to the west of Žatec and is traversed by the Eger and the Liboc (Aubach) rivers. The Libočany municipality is also a member of the Žatecko microregion .

The main traffic connection is the state road II / 224–225 from Kadaň to Žatec and in the northern part the state road II / 568 from Kadaň to Březno and the railway lines Kadaň - Podbořany , Žatec - Podbořany and Žatec - Březno - Chomutov .

Among the interessantesten attractions of the area belonging urban monument reserves of Kadaň and Žatec, the Church of St. Peter and Paul in Březno, the reservoir Nechranice and the railroad in the former Doupov Bahn ( tschech. Doupovská dráha) of Kadaň on Radonice by Kadaňský Rohozec.
