Rokle (German Rachel ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers southeast of Kadaň and belongs to the Okres Chomutov .
geography
Rokle is located north of the Duppau Mountains on the right side of the Eger at Úhošťanský potok. To the east is the Hradec substation , with the Nechranice reservoir behind it . The complex of the Tušimice lignite power station extends northeast on the other bank of the river. In the northwest rises the table mountain Úhošť (593 m). To the north runs the railway line from Kadaň to Kaštice , where the Hradec u Kadaně railway station is located near Hradec .
Neighboring towns are Hradec in the northeast, Hořenice and Poláky in the southeast, Vinaře and Blov in the south, Krásný Dvoreček in the southwest, Úhošťany in the west and Kadaňská Jeseň, Želina and Kadaň in the northwest.
history
On the Hradiště near Hradec there was a Slavic castle from the 8th to the 11th century, which lost its importance with the establishment of the settlement Kadaň on the Egerfurt and was given up.
Rokle was first mentioned in a document in 1368.

The community Rokle consists of the districts Hradec ( Burgstadtl ), Krásný Dvoreček ( Klein Schönhof ), Nová Víska u Rokle ( Neudörfl ), Rokle ( Rachel ) and Želina ( Seelau ).
Attractions
- Romanesque church of St. Lawrence in Želina, built in the middle of the 13th century. The church, which burned out in 1961, was given a new roof in the 1990s.
