Račetice (German Ratschitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located ten kilometers north of Podbořany and belongs to the Okres Chomutov .
geography
Račetice is located on the right side above the Liboc valley in the North Bohemian Basin . Road II / 224 from Kadaň to Podbořany runs through the village .
Neighboring towns are Libědice in the northeast, Čejkovice in the east, Kněžice and Mory in the southeast, Široké Třebčice and Nové Třebčice in the south, Vitčice in the southwest, Topolany and Vilémov in the west and Vidolice and Pětipsy in the northwest.
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1209.
After the abolition of patrimonial Ratschitz / Radčedice formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Libotitz a municipality in the district Kaaden . Since 1880 Ratschitz formed its own community. The current name Račetice has been used since 1924. In 1930 322 people lived in Ratschitz. After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Kaaden district until 1945 . In 1939 the village had 287 inhabitants. After the end of World War II, the village came back to Czechoslovakia and the German population was expelled . At the beginning of 1961 the village was incorporated into Pětipsy and at the same time assigned to the Okres Chomutov . The Račetice municipality has existed again since 1990.
