The Liboc (German Aubach , on the upper reaches of Linzbach ) is a right tributary of the Eger in the Czech Republic and the largest body of water in the Duppau Mountains .

course

It rises at an altitude of 685 meters west of the 760 meter high Pilíř in the Duppau Mountains on a swampy saddle in the area of the Hradiště military training area . One kilometer west of its source was the demolished village of Jeseň ( Gässing ), 800 m southeast of the Blšanka rises . After one kilometer, the river is dammed at the former Hegerhaus (Hájovna) in what was once a four-hectare pond.

The Aubach flows to the northwest through military installations on the site of the village Mětikalov ( Meckl were built), and the foundations of the Kreuzrův (mlýn cruiser mill ) over the Doupov boiler. To the left of the stream on the slope of the Flurbühl was the town of Duppau until 1955 and the high-lying village of Trmova ( Dürmaul ) on the northeast bank .

Between the 762 meter high Huseň and the opposite 744 meter high Trmovský vrch (Dürrmauler Mountain), which it flows around on three sides, the Aubach changes its direction to the east. On this stretch of river there were three mills, the Duppau market mill, the board mill (Nový mlýn) that burned down in 1935 and the fulling mill (Hrazský mlýn). In place of the places Oleška ( Olleschau ), Žďár ( Saar near Duppau ), Hluboká ( Tiefenbach ) and Žebletín ( Sebeltitz ) on both sides of the valley there are military installations today.

Between the military settlement Obrovice ( Wobern ) and the district Kadaňský Rohozec ( Bohemian Rust ) of the municipality Radonice , the Aubach leaves the mountains and military terrain . Radonice, Vilémov , Pětipsy and Libědice are located on the further course of the river . After about 45 kilometers the Aubach flows into 210 m above sea level. M. near Libočany above Žatec in the Eger.

On August 1, 1902, a local railway from Duppau to Kaaden was opened in the Aubach valley . This railway still runs from the border of the restricted area at Kadaňský Rohozec, the tracks in the mountains behind it have been dismantled. Up into the 20th century, populations of the river pearl mussel existed in the Aubach above Fünfhunden up to the Duppau Mountains .

The largest tributary of the Aubach is the Leska, which flows into Čejkovice. At Pětipsy, water is fed in from the Sedlec reservoir in the Duppau Mountains via a pipeline.
