development and construction

The M.1 Satyr was designed by Frederick Miles in 1932. It was a single-seater, aerobatic double - decker made of wood, which was driven by an air-cooled seven-cylinder star engine of the Pobjoy R type with a nominal output of 75  HP (55  kW ). The machine completed its maiden flight in August 1932 and received the aircraft registration G-ABVG. Although the aircraft showed good flight characteristics, Miles decided to focus on monoplane . So only one copy of the satyr was built. It was destroyed in an accident in September 1936.
