Milton is a hamlet and census-designated place in Ulster County , New York (state) , United States . In 2010 the village had 1,403 inhabitants. The place is one of two places of that name in New York, the other is in Saratoga County .
Milton is in the northeast of the Town of Marlborough , on the right bank of the Hudson River . The city's former train station, Milton Railroad Station , is on the National Register of Historic Places .
