Lizy is a former French community and today's commune Déléguée with 272 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Aisne in the region of Hauts-de-France ; it was located in the arrondissement of Laon and in the canton of Laon-1 . It was merged with Faucoucourt and Anizy-le-Château to form Commune nouvelle Anizy-le-Grand with effect from January 1, 2019 .
geography
The village of Lizy is about twelve kilometers southwest of Laon . In the south, the former municipality borders on the Ailette and the parallel Oise-Aisne Canal .
