The Miodet is a river in France that runs in the Puy-de-Dôme department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the municipality of Saint-Éloy-la-Glacière , drains in an arc from northwest to northeast through the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park and flows 30 kilometers across from Sauviat , but at the municipal boundary of Saint-Flour and Domaize as a left tributary in the dore . Immediately in front of its mouth, the Miodet is dammed into a small lake for electricity generation.
