Mira is a municipality with a population of 38,553 (December 31, 2019) in the metropolitan city of Venice in the Region of Veneto in Italy .
It covers an area of 98.91 km² and is located in the area of the Riviera del Brenta . The neighboring municipalities of Mira are Campagna Lupia , Dolo , Mirano , Pianiga , Spinea and Venice .
Villa Foscari called La Malcontenta is located in the municipality . The villa was built between 1550 and 1560 according to plans by the Italian architect Andrea Palladio. It is part of the World Heritage Site Old Town of Vicenza and Palladio's Villas in Veneto .
