Adjacent municipalities are Meduna di Livenza and Motta di Livenza , which already belong to the province of Treviso , then Portogruaro in the metropolitan city of Venice, as well as Pramaggiore and San Stino di Livenza , and finally Pravisdomini in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region .

history

Romans

Annone, as Annona Veneto was called until it was annexed to the Kingdom of Italy, probably got its name from the Latin 'ad nonum lapidem', because it was on the Via Postumia , which began in 148 BC. Built road from Genoa to Aquileia , and there nine Roman miles from Oderzo . In the south of the municipality passed the Via Annia , which ran parallel to the coast and connected the Adria to Aquileia via Padua , Altinum and Concordia .

42 BC The Iulia Concordia, the area between Livenza and Tagliamento , was designated as an area for veterans' goods. Modest remains of three farming villages have been found from this time.

Lombards, Aquileia Patriarchate

Annone is mentioned for the first time in a copy of a document from the year 762. In this document, Lombard nobles awarded goods for the foundation of the monastery of Sesto al Reghena . Via the municipality of Lorenzaga it was thus dependent on the abbey and the Patriarch of Aquileia .

Despite the fierce fighting between the Guelphs and Ghibellines , the village received a solid economic base, so that only the Patriarch Berthold (1218–1251) used it three times as a seat for his court days.

Venice (1420–1797)

In 1420 the patriarchate came to the Republic of Venice , in whose hands the region remained until 1797. In lengthy disputes, the municipality managed to break away from Lorenzaga and in 1622 the municipality of San Vitale martire was recognized. Annone belonged to the Gastaldia of Medusa. Venice rigorously protected its forests there, which were of great importance for shipbuilding.

French and Austrians, Italy (from 1866)

In the era of French and Austrian rule from 1797 to 1866, the economic and social situation of the late Venetian rule persisted.

The town hall was built at the beginning of the 20th century, while the old casoni gradually disappeared. The last of them were demolished in the 1950s. Many Annonese emigrated during the long period of Veneto's economic decline in the second half of the 19th century.

After the First World War , the forest areas around Loncon were cut down to make way for agriculture.

After the Second World War , the wave of emigration continued again, a wave that did not end until the 1970s.

Crafts developed in the commune and industrial jobs were created in nearby Pordenone. But viticulture and tourism were also strengthened. In 2015, the municipality within the metropolitan city of Venice had the highest proportion of migrants with 15.2%.
