Mira Gittner

Mira Gittner (born June 12, 1971 in Munich ) is a German actress , film editor , camerawoman , film producer and film director . She also works in graphic design from time to time .

Life

Gittner began acting at the age of 10 with a leading role for ZDF in Anderland (TV series) : The Bartered Birthday (1981, director: George Moorse) and has since worked in numerous film and television productions. After graduating from acting school in 1990 she was a. a. at the Bavarian State Opera Munich as an acting soloist, engaged in the world theater project in New Delhi and the Theater Institute in Munich.

In 1998 she founded the wtp film production team together with Roland Reber and is now working for wtp international GmbH in the field of acting, editing , camera and graphic design .

In 2001 she made her directorial debut (in addition to camera, editing and production) with the short film then call it love . In 2003 she was a member of the jury for the International Film Festival for Children in Cairo.

Mira Gittner received the Producer of the Year 2000 award from the Bavarian Film Center Geiselgasteig and was awarded the Best Female Actor Award 2001 at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival for her performance in the psychological thriller Das Zimmer and the Special Award for Montage in Feature Films 2003 for her Excellent editing of the satire Pentamagica at the Panorama in Thessaloniki . In 2006 she worked as a screenwriter and camerawoman on the film 24/7 The Passion of Life , in which she also played the role of "Lady Maria". She was responsible for the camera and editing of the psychological thriller The Truth of Lies , published in 2012 , as well as for the 2013 cinema drama Illusion .
