Miriam Leone (born April 14, 1985 in Catania ) is an Italian actress , television presenter and model .

life and career

The Sicilian Miriam Leone was born in Catania in 1985. She grew up in Aci Catena , where her parents, Gabriella, a community worker, and Igazio Leone, a retired teacher, came from. After attending school in Acireale , she studied literature and philosophy at the University of Catania .

Miriam Leone took part in the Miss Italia 2008 beauty pageant and won it. From June to September 2009 she drew attention to herself as co-host of the breakfast magazine Uno Mattina Estate on Rai Uno . In 2010 she was a jury member on the talent show Ciak! Si Canta . In 2011 she was the presenter of the award ceremony of the Italian film award Nastro d'Argento .

Her breakthrough as an actress came with the leading roles in the television series The Dead of Turin and La dama velata .
