The Mittelbach is a two-kilometer-long left and eastern tributary of the Lasterbach .
geography
course
The Mittelbach rises in the Westerwald , southeast of Oberrod , near the border between Rhineland-Palatinate and Hesse . It initially flows about 250 meters on the northern edge of a forest in a north-westerly direction and then bends sharply to the south-west. Its course is strongly straightened there. After just under half a kilometer, it reaches Marienhof , turns west, flows around the Heispel to the north and finally flows into the Lasterbach east of Elsoff .
