The Mittelstands-Union (MU) is the working group of medium-sized entrepreneurs within the CSU . The state chairman is the former Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, Franz Pschierer .

The Mittelstands-Union used to work under the name Arbeitsgemeinschaft Mittelstand .

aims

The Mittelstands-Union represents the concerns of the economy within the CSU. Her focus is on medium-sized companies and entrepreneurs, including tradespeople as well as freelance workers and leading personalities in the economy . Her area of ​​activity also represents the interests of homeowners . It should contribute to realizing a free economic and social order in accordance with the idea of ​​the social market economy on the basis of personal initiative and personal responsibility.

The Mittelstands-Union informs and advises the parliaments and their parliamentary groups , specialist committees and authorities on the concerns of the SME sector. In addition, it should represent the ideas of the CSU in the sphere of activity of the SME Union, advertise the goals of the Union and work on the solution of all the SME issues.

structure

The regional association has ten districts (these have district associations) and seven specialist committees. The Mittelstands-Union is a regional association of the Mittelstands- und Wirtschaftsunion as a joint organization of the CDU / CSU. The European umbrella organization is SME Europe .
