In the middle of the night is a song by the German rapper Bushido from his album Sonny Black . It was presented on December 20, 2013 in the form of a music video on the YouTube platform and released together with the album on February 14, 2014. In the middle of the night it was not released separately as a single, but reached 64th place in the single charts in Germany as a result of digital individual sales.

In the middle of the night deals with elements of battle rap : Bushido appreciates himself strongly, stylizes himself as powerful and expresses himself disparagingly towards an indefinite "you". In addition, the song deals with the topics of drug use and physical violence. Bushido makes some allusions in his text. He plays on the actor Jean-Claude Van Damme , the video game Street Fighter , the Middle East conflict and the shoes Air Max brand Nike to. Music video
A week before the video was released, a music video for the Middle of the Night by Bushido was announced on its channel on the platform YouTube , which was released on December 20, 2013. The video production company StreetCinema from Cologne took over the production of the video . The entire video is in black and white and shows alternating Bushido and Berlin city scenes. At times, members of the rocker club Hells Angels can be seen in the video. The music video version ends in the middle of the night before the full length of the track is over, which is why the final scratches cannot be heard. According to Bushido, it was an oversight by the video director who used the wrong master of the song to complete the video . criticism
The e-zine laut.de illustrated in its review of the album Sonny Black based on Mitten im Nacht , which they identified as the clearest example, that the album was the “attempt to do the legendary ' Vom Bordstein Bis Zur Skyline ' on a proper production to reanimate " .
