Mitterhausen is part of the municipality of the Arnstorf market in the northern district of Rottal-Inn in Bavaria . The parish village was the main town of the former parish of the same name until 1970.
history
The place was first mentioned in 1130 as Mitterhuse . The Catholic parish was originally a branch of the Mariakirchen parish . In 1870 it was elevated to an expositur and in 1896 it became an independent parish.
The townscape is determined by the late Gothic parish church of St. Stephan.
On January 1, 1972, the formerly independent municipality was almost completely integrated into the Arnstorf market as part of the municipal reform. Oberstadl moved to the Johanniskirchen community .
