Mitterrimbach is a district in the municipality of Obertaufkirchen in the Upper Bavarian district of Mühldorf am Inn .

geography

Mitterrimbach is naturally orographically located in the Rimbachtal , which opens north to the Isental near Schwindegg , at an altitude of 450  m above sea level. NN . To the west of the village, the terrain rises to 511  m above sea level. A little higher lying forest area Hangmaul , which largely belongs to the Archdiocese of Munich Freising. To the east extends a mountain range that separates the Rimbachtal from the Ornautal and extends to Schwindegg. The Rimbach is a 10 km long brook in the Upper Bavarian districts of Erding and Mühldorf am Inn, which runs through the Gattergebirge. The Rimbach has two source streams. These arise northwest of Wies (east of St. Wolfgang) at an altitude of around 560 m. The Rimbach flows first in an easterly direction, from the desert Brenner in a north-easterly direction to Mitterrimbach. From here it runs in a northerly direction - separated by a hill largely parallel to the Ornaubach - to the confluence with the Goldach west of Schwindegg. Overall, the Rimbach overcomes a difference in altitude of around 110 meters.

The three villages of Oberrimbach-Mitterrimbach (Huberrimbach) -Friedlrimbach, all of which politically belong to Obertaufkirchen, are on the left hand side in the direction of the stream. The village of Rimbach (formerly also Unterrimbach), which politically has always belonged to the municipality of Schwindegg, lies on both sides of the Rimbach stream, whereby the part to the right of the stream was the older one (already mentioned as a noble residence around the year 800) with the former wooden castle, but which has not existed since ancient times. To the left of the brook there are three small settlement houses that were probably only added in the 1900 century.

The nearest larger cities are to the east, the district town of Mühldorf am Inn, approx. 25 km away, to the west, Dorfen, 13 km and Landshut 45 km, and to the south, the state capital Munich, at a distance of 60 km. The border with Austria is closest to Burghausen (Maria Ach), 60 km away.

history

In the Bavarian annals a letter appears in 1340 from the Schönproner zu Schönpronn (today's Schönbrunn) Wernherr and Heinrich in 1340 a letter to the Ramsau monastery , which deals with the Hueb zu Rinbach . Since Rimbach (Schwindegg municipality), which is proven to be older (first documentary mentions of the noble seat of those at rintpah around the year 800) and this was a noble seat, the core of the earlier town of Mitterrimbach (formerly Huberrimbach) meant.

Name explanation: Hube = whole yard, half yard or 1/4 yard. The size of the yard said what a whole whole, half or quarter yard was. The first free farmers + Rimbach , the small river that flows through the valley and gives its name to it, managed a Hube (now Rimbach formerly> rintpah> Rintpach> Rinbach translated: stream of cattle)

The cluster village appears in the Bavarian original cadastre with nine farms under the name Huber Rinnbach in the 1810s . The name Huberrimbach led the village until around 1830 and was then renamed Mitterrimbach over time.

The village of Mitterrimbach (formerly Huberrimbach ) as well as the solitude of Oberrimbach and the village of Friedlrimbach have always belonged to Obertaufkirchen since the church was founded around 1818. Before the founding of the political community, these places were already parish to Obertaufkirchen, as they are now. In the 1970s, a weekend settlement with around 15 parcels was built in the Flur called Rimbacher Au, each with a so-called Swedish house made of wood (steep roof to the ground).

In the 1990s it became official, the settlement (place) Rimbachau from it

In 2017, 59 people lived in Mitterrimbach in 15 households, four of which were still farms in their main occupation, with a focus on dairy farming, cattle breeding and the energy industry.

traffic

A communal road opens up the place to the north, coming from the state road 2084 via Rimbach-Friedlrimbach coming to Mitterrimbach, there in Mitterrimbach this road meets the communal connecting road coming from Obertaufkirchen and Frauenornau and these connect at an intersection to the common communal connecting road via Oberrimbach Weitermühle Reinthal-Lacken and Stift to the state road to the district road MÜ 29 near Oberornau . The planned federal motorway 94 will run directly north of Mitterrimbach and south of Friedlrimbach . Preparatory work for the construction of the 240 m long bridge spanning the valley began in 2016. The first foundations for the bridge piers were concreted in February 2017.

By the end of 2017, all bridge piers had been concreted and one direction of travel was 80% complete. The earthworks for the roadways between Rimbach and Ornautalbrücke and the stretch to Mainbach were also well advanced in 2017/2018. The concrete work on the motorway bridge over the Rimbachtal was completed in mid-December 2018 with fireworks by the workers.

Water supply

The towns of Mitterrimbach and Oberrimbach have a central water supply association that was founded around 1950.

The then Kobewirt Johann Huber became the first chairman.

All properties in the named places were immediately supplied with a supply line from the newly built water reserve in the Oberrimbach / Reuth forest area.

In the 1980s, a new deep well was drilled at the water reserve, as the inflow of surface water was no longer sufficient to supply the connected properties

The water procurement association also supplies the Reuth desert and the Rimbachau weekend settlement with custom and drinking water.

sewage

The residents of Mitterrimbach refused to be connected to the community's sewer network.

The waste water generated is cleaned and drained in our own tested systems.

Rimbachau is connected to the municipal sewage network

Electricity and heat supply

The places Mitterrimbach, Oberrimbach, Rimbachau and Friedlrimbach are connected to the power supply line of the Westenthanner energy company from Mainbach.

Almost the entire town of Mitterrimbach is connected to the Marketsmüller heat pipe network and its biogas plant.

Mitterrimbach is 100% self-sufficient with the generation of electricity from the existing biogas plant and all photovoltaic systems on the property.

An enormous amount of residual electricity is fed into the grid.
