Miyoko Asahina
Miyoko Asahina ( 朝 比 奈 三代 子 , Asahina Miyoko , real name: 高橋 三代 子 , Takahashi Miyoko ; born September 24, 1969 ) is a former Japanese long-distance runner .
In 1987 she became national champion over 1500 meters , in 1989 over 10,000 meters .
In 1992 she finished ninth in the Osaka Women's Marathon . At the Half Marathon World Championships in South Shields , she was fifth and won gold with the Japanese team. The following year a sixth place in Osaka was followed by a fourth place and a team silver medal at the World Half Marathon Championships in Brussels .
In 1994 she was fifth in Osaka and won the Rotterdam Marathon . In 1995 she came in 24th place in the Nagoya Marathon .
