history

According to legend, the origin of the name is associated with a man named Mladen, who settled in this area with his two brothers after the battle of the Amselfeld in the 14th century. The brothers separated and the place where Mladen had settled was called Mladenovac. The first official data on a settlement in this area is mentioned in the Ottoman census of 1528. Mladenovac has been part of the Belgrade District Community since 1971.

The day of the municipality is August 2nd, when Mladenovac was promoted to town in 1893.
