Maurice Jabari "Moe" Williams (* 26. July 1974 in Columbus , Georgia ) is a former American American football poker players in the position of running backs . He played college football at the University of Kentucky and was then selected in the 1996 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round. For the Vikings he played nine seasons until 2005, interrupted by only one year with the Baltimore Ravens , in the National Football League (NFL).

Career

college

Williams played on the University of Kentucky college team . He made a sensational debut there, in which he set a record for rookies in 1993 with 986 yards . He dropped out of college running 3,333 yards , caught passes for 386 yards, and 27 touchdowns in three years.

NFL

The Minnesota Vikings signed Moe Williams in the third round of the 1996 NFL Draft . He spent nine of his ten NFL years with the Minnesota Vikings. There he shared the running back position mostly with other players. It was mainly used in situations where a few yards were involved. In many game situations, he also showed his catching skills and so came in his career to 1511 yards from passing moves. In October 2005 Williams was involved in the Minnesota Vikings boat cruise scandal and was charged with improper conduct. He became a fine of 300 in April 2006 US dollars sentenced profit and 30 hours of work.

After the active career

Williams turned his back on football in 2006 and turned to equestrian sports.
