Mohamad Awata (born July 10, 1993 in Damascus ) is a Syrian soccer player who is under contract with 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 .

Career

Awata played in his Syrian homeland with al-Wahda from Damascus in the Syrian professional league . There he came to at least one mission in the championship 2013/14 season in which he scored a goal. Awata found another demonstrable mission in February 2013, when he and his team failed in qualifying for the AFC Cup 2013 .

Awata fled Syria via Greece and Turkey to Germany due to the civil war . During the war he lost his mother and uncle in a bomb attack. In Germany, Awata first came to Stuttgart , where a friend recommended TSV 1860 Munich to him. In the summer of 2016 he played there for the second team of the Lions after he said he hadn't played football for four years . After Awata received his game permit in early 2017, he made his debut in the fourth-class Bavarian Regional League at the beginning of March 2017 under Daniel Bierofka . By the end of the 2016/17 season , he had a total of seven missions.

Since the professional team had been relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga and had to compete in the Regionalliga Bayern from the 2017/18 season due to the non-receipt of the license for the 3rd division , Awata moved up to the squad of the first team trained by Bierofka, its core formed from the second team of the preseason. At the same time, he continues to play in the second team, which is now playing in the fifth-class Bayern League , for which he scored his first goal on the first match day. In addition to two missions in the first team, in which he scored one goal, he came to a total of 29 missions in the second team, in which he scored ten hits. The contract expiring at the end of the 2017/18 season was not extended.

After a short interlude in Jordan at Al-Jazeera , Awata played from the second half of the 2018/19 season at SV Heimstetten in the Regionalliga Bayern.

After Heimstetten had managed to stay in the league, Awata joined 1.FC Schweinfurt for the summer break of 2019.
