An association that played in the AFC Cup was allowed to apply for the 2013 AFC Champions League . Associations that only partially met the Champions League criteria are allowed to participate in both the AFC Cup and the Champions League.
An association that took part in the President's Cup was allowed to apply for the AFC Cup.
Each association may send two teams.
The master is set directly for the group stage.
The cup winner or the second in the league starts in the group stage or qualification depending on the AFC classification.
For teams that have qualified through several competitions, only the higher title is given.
1 As al-Muharraq withdrew from the AFC Cup after the draw, Regar-TadAZ moved up into the group stage. 2 The I-League champions Dempo SC did not want to take part in the AFC Cup, so the third-placed team was nominated. 3 The second-placed team in the Malaysia Super League was the Singapore LionsXII.
