The AFC Cup 2011 is the eighth edition of the Asian Football Confederation discharged (AFC) AFC Cup . As part of a restructuring and upgrading of the AFC Champions League according to new criteria, the AFC Cup also got a different face from 2009 than in previous years. The gymnast took place from March 1st to October 29th, 2011. The group stage draw took place on December 7, 2010 at the headquarters of the Asian Association in Kuala Lumpur.

Group stage
In the group stage, 32 teams play in eight groups, each with four teams, in league mode (home and away leg) according to the three-point rule. The teams are divided according to geographical considerations: teams from West and Central Asia play in groups A to E, teams from East and Southeast Asia play in groups F to H. The first two in the group qualify for the final round of the last 16.
Final round
The round of 16 is drawn and decided in just one game. From the quarter-finals onwards, the tournament winner will be played in a knockout system with a two-legged game, whereby the away goals rule applies. If there is no winner in the second leg and / or final after regular playing time and overtime, the winner will be determined in a penalty shoot-out.
The final will be played in just one game. The venue is the home stadium of one of the two finalists.
1 invitation to participate. 2 Al-Qadsia did not meet the eligibility criteria for the Champions League and therefore received a place in the AFC Cup. 3 Invited to replace Al-Ahli ( Bahraini Premier League 2010 champions).
