Mohamed Semida Abdel Azim (born October 17, 1968 ) is a former Egyptian football player .

Career

The midfielder began his career at FC Helwan and played for Al Ahly Cairo from 1987 . With Cairo he was Egyptian champion and cup winner in 1989. In the summer of 1990, Azima moved to the German second division club Fortuna Köln , for whom he scored three goals in 26 second division games. For the second half of the 1992/93 season he moved to league rivals VfB Oldenburg , but could not prevent VfB from being relegated at the end of the season. Azima then moved to the Westphalian upper division Arminia Bielefeld , where he only made nine missions and one goal.

In the summer of 1994, Azima moved to the Austrian Bundesliga club Vorwärts Steyr , for whom he scored five goals in 45 games. In 1996 he was relegated with Steyr from the Bundesliga and moved to Ulsan Hyundai in the K League of South Korea . Azima won the championship with his team before returning to Germany and subsequently playing for FC 08 Homburg , SC Pfullendorf and Blau-Weiß Brühl . He missed Brühl's DFB Cup game against 1. FC Kaiserslautern in August 2001 because of a red card suspension.

Between 1987 and 1995 Azima completed missions for the Egyptian national team . Among other things, he took part in the 1992 African Championships .
