Mohammad Ahmadi

Mohammad Ahmadi ( Persian محمد احمدی; * 1957 in Fal in the province of Fars ) is an Iranian diplomat who has been ambassador to Ashgabat ( Turkmenistan ) since January 28, 2016 .

He speaks English and Arabic. In 1985 he completed a bachelor's degree at the University of Shiraz . Since 1993 he has been researching sociology at the Azad Islamic University , where he received his doctorate in international law in 2006 . Since 2010 he has lectured at the Islamic Azad University of Karaj .

Career

From 1982 to 1991 he was governor of the cities of Marvdascht , Lar, Iran (Larestan) and Abadeh in the province of Fars . In 1992 he joined the foreign service and was employed in the Persian Gulf department until 1995 . From 1995 to 1998 he was Chargé d'affaires in Manama ( Bahrain ). From 1998 to 1999 he was Legation Counselor in the Foreign Ministry's liaison office with the Majles . From 2003 to 2005 he was Deputy Governor of Fars Province . From 2005 to 2006 he was governor of Ilam Province . From 2005 to 2007 he was foreign policy advisor to the interior minister. From 2009 to 2014 he headed the Persian Gulf and Middle East department . From 2014 to 2015 he was Governor of Fars Province .
