Mohammed Rabiu (born December 31, 1989 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian football player . The midfielder has been active for Anzhi Makhachkala in the Russian Premier League since 2016 .

Career

society

On January 31, 2008 Mohammed Rabiu moved on loan from the Ghanaian club Liberty Professionals to the Spanish second division club Gimnàstic de Tarragona . He was first used on May 18, 2008 against Sevilla Atlético . Another loan deal to Deportivo Xerez followed in the summer of 2008 , for which he first played on November 11, 2008 against CD Tenerife . In the 2009/10 season Rabiu was loaned to Sampdoria Genoa . He then went to the Italian first division club Udinese Calcio , who at that time had his transfer rights, and was immediately awarded in August 2010 for a year to the French club FC Évian Thonon Gaillard , who was playing in Ligue 2 at the time. Here he came in his first season on ten appearances in the professional team and was then firmly committed. In the following two years he played with Évian in Ligue 1 and was used there regularly. In 2013 he finally moved to FK Kuban Krasnodar in the Russian Premier League .

National team

In 2009 Mohammed Rabiu played in qualifying for the U-20 African Championship for the first time for the Ghana U-20 national team . In the same year he was U-20 world champion with this team .

In 2011 he made his debut in the Ghanaian national team . At the 2014 World Cup , he is part of the Ghanaian squad .
