Molly Meech (born March 31, 1993 in Tauranga ) is a New Zealand sailor .

successes

Molly Meech took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro with Alex Maloney in the boat class 49erFX . In the final medal race , the two New Zealanders were one of four boats that made the four top placements among themselves. With a second place, Meech and Maloney secured the silver medal behind Martine Grael and Kahena Kunze and ahead of Jena Hansen and Katja Salskov-Iversen . At world championships she became world champion with Alex Maloney in Marseille in 2013 and also won the bronze medal with her in Porto in 2017 .

Her brother Sam is also a sailor.
