After the First Silesian War in 1742, Eckwertsheide and most of Silesia fell to Prussia .

After the reorganization of the province of Silesia , the rural community Eckwertsheide belonged to the district of Grottkau in the administrative district of Opole from 1816 . In 1845 there was a Catholic pilgrimage chapel, a brewery, an inn, a mill and 34 other houses in the village. In the same year, 210 people lived in Eckwertsheide, two of them Protestants. In 1855 288 people lived in Eckwertsheide. In 1865 there were 22 gardeners and 10 cottagers in the village . The residents were schooled in Petersheide. In 1885 Eckwertsheide had 230 inhabitants.

In 1933 there were 215 people in Eckwertsheide and 207 people in 1939. Until the end of the war in 1945, the place belonged to the district of Grottkau .

As a result of the Second World War, Eckwertsheide fell under Polish administration in 1945, like most of Silesia . It was subsequently renamed Mroczkowa and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. The German population was largely expelled . In 1950 it was incorporated into the Opole Voivodeship. In 1999 the place came to the re-established Powiat Nyski .
