Monte Sereno is a settlement in Santa Clara County in the US state of California , with around 3,300 inhabitants ( as of 2010 ). The settlement area covers an area of ​​just over four square kilometers. The settlement is located in the so-called Santa Clara Valley , which extends south of the San Francisco Bay . About 16 kilometers to the northeast is the city of San José , to which there are several road connections.

Demographics

The 2010 census showed a total population of 3,341. Of these, 80.8 percent are whites, 0.4 percent are African-Americans , 0.4 percent are also native Americans, 13.9 percent are Asians and 4.8 percent are Hispanics . The rest is divided among other races. In contrast to many other places in California, the population of Monte Sereno has changed little over a decade. In 2000, a population of 3,481 was registered as part of the census at that time , which means that a slight decrease was recorded until 2010. The number of households was in the 2010 census after 1,211. For every 100 women there were 94.2 men.
