Moon Trek (Original title: Beyond the Stars , Alternative title: Moon Trek - The light from the dark side , Personal Choice ) is an American movie of the genre of science fiction from the year 1989 . The director was David Saperstein , who also wrote the script . The main roles played Martin Sheen and Christian Slater .
action
Eric Michaels' student experiments with rocket models. He caused an explosion in the school, from which he was suspended for a few weeks. He spends this time with his divorced father Richard, a NASA employee who lives with Laurie McCall.
Eric meets Mara Simons, with whom he falls in love. He also meets alcoholic former astronaut Paul Andrews, who was once on the moon as part of the Apollo program . Andrews is terminally ill. He confides in Michaels that he found evidence of the existence of aliens on the moon , which he hands over to Eric shortly before his death.
Reviews
The film was named a solid SF drama in Video Week magazine . In the film service of March 21, 1990, Stefan Lux described the film as largely successful , but partly also naive and unreflective .
