Origin and style
The album was produced and compiled by Brett Gurewitz , guitarist and songwriter for Bad Religion and the 1981 founder of Epitaph. Other contributors were Donnell Cameron as a sound engineer, partner of Gurewitz since 1988 at Westbeach Recorders Studio in Hollywood , and Jack Endino , who had produced the songs of Coffin Break in 1990 at Reciprocal Recording Studio in Seattle .
In 1992, Epitaph was still a small label with few employees, including Brett Gurewitz, Jay Bentley and Jeff Abarta, among others. In addition to Bad Religion with eight songs, bands such as NOFX , Pennywise , Down By Law , Dag Nasty and L7 are represented, who have become well-known acts of the US punk scene .
The album mainly contains skate punk and melodic hardcore songs.
The graphic design of the booklet by Joy Aoki was done using the painting The Horrors of War by Peter Paul Rubens .
