Mori (Changji)

The Kazakh Autonomous Okrug Mori ( Chinese  木垒 哈萨克 自治县 , Pinyin Mùlěi Hāsàkè Zìzhìxiàn ; Uighur مورى قازاق ئاپتونوم ناھىيىسى, Mori Ⱪazaⱪ Aptonom Naⱨiyisi ) is an autonomous county of Kazakhs in the Autonomous County Changji Hui Nationality in the central north of the Uygur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang in the People's Republic of China . It has an area of ​​17,700 km² and has 86,344 inhabitants (2003).

Thirteen nationalities live in the Mori area, including Han Chinese , Kazakhs , Uyghurs , Uzbeks and Hui Chinese .

Administrative structure

At the community level, Mori consists of four large communities , six communities , a nationality community , a state seed breeding farm and a state pasture. These are:

Mori municipality (木垒 镇), capital, seat of the district government;

Greater community Xijir (西吉尔镇);
Greater community Xinhu (新户镇);
