Moritz von Schmidt

Moritz Schmidt , from 1867 by Schmidt , (born November 24, 1807 in Rottenburg am Neckar , † February 28, 1888 in Stuttgart ) was a German politician .

Life

Born as the son of Dommesner Johann Schmidt (1778–1848), Moritz Schmidt studied law in Tübingen and Munich after graduating from high school in 1826 at the (today's) Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich . During his studies in 1829 he became a member of the Tübingen Comment fraternity and the Tübinger Particuliers . In 1836 he went to the Oberamt Brackenheim as a judicial actuary , in 1837 as a criminal actuary to Stuttgart and in 1838 became an assessor at the Catholic Church Council. From 1844 to 1848 he was a member of the Second Chamber of Württemberg Land estates for the Oberamt Rottenburg . After that he was chairman of the Israelite Higher Church Authority until his retirement . In 1855 he became a temporary director, and from 1858 as a government director at the Catholic Upper Church Council. In 1872 he received the title and rank of district president . In 1882 he retired.
