Mose is a district of the city of Wolmirstedt in the district of Börde in Saxony-Anhalt .
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 937 in a deed of gift from King Otto I. It was located in what was then North Thuringia .
On November 13, 1009 Dedo I von Wettin was killed together with his vassal Egilhard von Werner von Walbeck near Moses at the confluence of the Tangier and Elbe rivers. Dedo had feuded the Walbeckers since 993 because of their office of the Margraves of the Nordmark , since he felt neglected when the award was made to Lothar von Walbeck , and in June 1009 sued the Margrave of the Nordmark Werner before King Heinrich II . Heinrich II. Then spoke from Werner at a farm meeting in Pöhlde from both the margraviate of Nordmark and the fiefs that belonged to it. The fief was given to Dedo's son Dietrich I , the first Wettin margrave of Lusatia from 1032. The Nordmark fell back to the Counts of Haldensleben , the first margraves of the Nordmark since 965.
On June 29, 1933, came on the Good Moses on a lawn in preparation for manned space flight for the first launch and flight of a 6.50-meter-high and 120-kilogram unmanned liquid rocket by Rudolf Nebel and his team. She flew 20 m high and 80 m far. Since 2012, a monument in the form of a model of this pilot rocket has been commemorating the historic event.
Moses was incorporated into Wolmirstedt on January 1st, 1993.
