Mount Meunier is a 665 m high mountain in Marie Byrd Land in western Antarctica . It rises 5 km east of Mount Strange at the northeast end of the Kohler Range . Its northern slopes are partially ice-free and lie above the Dotson Ice Shelf on the Walgreen Coast .
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain in 1977 after the USGS cartographer Tony Kenneth Meunier, who joined the team in 1974 belonged to satellite geodesy at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station and had participated in the Antarctic Search for Meteorites Program in the Allan Hills from 1982 to 1983 .
