The Mrlina is a right tributary of the Elbe in the Czech Republic .

The Mrlina rises south of the district Příchvoj of the municipality Markvartice on the eastern slope of the hill Čakan (398 m) at 376 m. ü. The places Nadslav, Střevač , Chyjice , Dolany and Kostelec are located on its upper reaches leading to the southeast . In Jičíněves , the river turns to the southwest and follow the places Žitětín, Bartoušov, Pševes, Kopidlno , Hasina, Rožďalovice , Podlužany, Ledecký, Nové Zámky , Křinec , Zábrdovice , Vestec , Malý Vestec, Netřebice , Rašovice, Šlotava and Budiměřice .

The Sánský kanál, fed by the Cidlina , has flowed below Budiměřice since 1930 . After 49.6 km the Mrlina flows into Nymburk at an altitude of 182.7 m. ü. M. into the Elbe . The catchment area of ​​the river is 656.7 km².
