Muchtarchan Dildäbekow

Muchtarchan Qabylanbekuly Dildäbekow ( Kazakh Мұхтархан Қабыланбекұлы Ділдәбеков * 19th March 1976 ) is a Kazakh boxer in the super heavyweight . Dildabekow was the winner of the Asian Games in 1998 and silver medalist at the Asian Games in 2002 and 2006, as well as the 1999 World Championships . He also won the 2000 Olympic silver medal .

Career

1998 won Dildäbekow the Asian Games in the super heavyweight (+91 kg) with a final victory over Mohamed Reza Samadi Khalkh, Iran (KO 3). At the World Championships in Houston the following year, he hit u. a. in the quarter-finals Cengiz Koç , Germany (8: 4), and in the semi-finals Paolo Vidoz , Italy (3: 1), before he was narrowly defeated by the Turkish Sinan Şamil Sam (+4: 4) in the final .

Also in 2000 he secured the silver medal at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney . In the first round he beat Poland's Grzegorz Kiełsa , in the quarterfinals he defeated Cuban Alexis Rubalcaba , to whom he was defeated in two other matches. With a semi-final victory over the Uzbek Rustam Saidow, he was finally able to qualify for the final, in which he was defeated, however, to Audley Harrison on points.

At the East Asian Games 2001 Dildäbekow won the gold medal and in 2002 at the Asian Games he finished second, losing in the final to Rustam Saidov , Uzbekistan (29:21).

In 2003 he took part in the World Championships in Bangkok , but lost there in the first fight almost 19:20 on points against the German representative Sebastian Köber . In 2004, he won the Asian qualifying tournament for the Athens Olympic Games in Guangzhou . In his second participation in the Olympics, however, he did not get beyond the quarterfinals; although he beat Sebastian Köber, but then retired with a point defeat against Alexander Powetkin .

His last international tournament was the Asian Games in 2006, which again reached the final, but lost it again to Rustam Saidow, Uzbekistan (RSC 3rd). After that, Dildäbekow could no longer appear on an international level and ended his career.
