Muhammad Sharif Butt

Muhammad Sharif Butt (born January 15, 1926 - † June 8, 2015 ) was a Pakistani sprinter .

At the Olympic Games in London in 1948 he was eliminated over 100 m in the preliminary run and reached the quarter-finals over 200 m .

Four years later he reached the semifinals in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952 and failed over 100 m and 200 m in the first round.

In 1954 he won the Asian Games in Manila over 200 m. At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver , he came in fifth place with the Pakistani 4-by-110-yard relay. He reached the semifinals over 100 yards and 220 yards.

At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 he came to the semifinals with the Pakistani 4 x 100 meter relay. Over 100 m and 200 m he did not get beyond the lead. At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in 1958 he was eliminated over 100 yards in the run and over 220 yards in the quarterfinals.
