Thakhur Jernail Singh is the leader of a band of robbers known in the Chambal Valley. One night at a wedding reception, he meets the courtesan Chameli, who is performing a dance. He kidnaps her and they both fall in love. Later they also have a son. But their love doesn't last long, as Thakhur is about to be arrested by the police and is about to end. At this point, Jamila sends Chameli to the neighboring village to raise her son there. Unfortunately, the helpless Chameli is harassed by Jamila there. Fortunately, the police rescued them and they even promise to give them Thakhur's property.
