The Municipio Uriondo (also: Concepción ) is a district in the Tarija Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia . It was named after the Chilean - Argentine freedom fighter Colonel Francisco Pérez de Uriondo .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Uriondo is the eastern of the two municipalities of the province of José María Avilés . It borders the province of Cercado to the east and north , the municipality of Yunchará to the west , and the province of Aniceto Arce to the south .

The Municipio Uriondo is located in southern Bolivia on the eastern slopes of the eastern Andes mountain range at the transition to the Bolivian lowlands.
The mean average temperature in the valleys of the region is 19 ° C (see climate diagram Tarija), the monthly average temperatures vary between 14 ° C in June and July and 22 ° C in December to March. The annual precipitation is about 550 mm, with a pronounced dry season from April to October with monthly precipitation between 0 and 30 mm, and a humidity period from December to February with monthly precipitation of about 120 mm.
